Bray Whaler is full of sports fans and we’re thrilled to be working with Omni Hotels and Resorts to bring luxury hotels to the headquarters of the Atlanta Braves and the Dallas Cowboys. We’re handling FF&E and OS&E for both new construction projects.
The Atlanta Braves and Omni Hotels & Resorts are partnering to develop a new hotel in the mixed-use development adjacent to SunTrust Park in Cobb County.

The Omni Atlanta at SunTrust Park will serve as a cornerstone of the mixed-use community, with 16 floors, 264 guest rooms, rooftop hospitality suites, 12,500 square feet of meeting space and a signature restaurant. A rooftop pool and bar will overlook the plaza and ballpark.
Located on the 60-acre mixed-use development site, at the northwest intersection of I-75 and I-285 at Cobb Parkway, the new community will redefine the traditional model of “live, work, play” into a “play, work, stay” destination. The community will also feature residences, premier office space, an entertainment venue, retail and a variety of dining options.
“Our unique brand of hospitality is a big part of the experience of attending an Atlanta Braves game, and we’re thrilled to have a partner that embodies that same feeling with their guests,” said Terry McGuirk, Atlanta Braves chairman and CEO.
“It is an honor to partner with a franchise as successful as the Atlanta Braves, and we know this collaboration will attract millions of visitors to Cobb County and SunTrust Park for years to come,” said Mike Deitemeyer, president of Omni Hotels & Resorts. “This new property will visibly reflect the region – everything from the rooms, food, design, décor and amenities.”
SunTrust Park is being developed by the Braves in partnership with Cobb County, the Cobb-Marietta Coliseum and Exhibit Hall Authority and the Cumberland CID, and will be completed by Opening Day 2017.
Omni Hotels and Resorts has also partnered with the Dallas Cowboys to bring a full-service luxury hotel to the team’s project in Frisco.
The upscale hotel, slated to open in 2017, will be a cornerstone for the private development surrounding the Cowboys headquarters and a training facility that will be shared with the city of Frisco and Frisco Independent School District.
The Omni Frisco will be adjacent to the publicly-owned 12,000-seat multi-use event center. The event center will be used not only for Dallas Cowboys practices, but also for high school football games, other school and city events, and meetings and conventions. The team’s headquarters, also adjacent to the center, will house administrative offices, coaches’ offices and the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.
The 300-room hotel will include meeting space, a ballroom and a rooftop pool overlooking the plaza area that will be a focal point for the Cowboy’s development.
“Omni is one of the country’s top-rated luxury hotel brands,” Stephen Jones, chief operating officer and executive vice president for the Dallas Cowboys, said in a statement. “As one of the most recognizable and popular brands in the world ourselves, it makes perfect sense that we would team up to bring to life this extraordinary development.”
The hotel is part of the 66-acre private development surrounding facilities at Warren Parkway and the Dallas North Tollway. The site will also include retail, restaurants and office space. The agreement among the Dallas Cowboys, the city of Frisco and Frisco ISD has been hailed as a unique pairing between an NFL franchise and a school district that will benefit students for years to come.
Bray Whaler is honored to be working with major league, innovative clients. We’ll have our game faces on for opening day at both facilities!
